Almost New Year's Eve...

Good evening! I know it's late, but I wanted to post before the New Year... :) We are all doing well, David, myself, and little Zoe. :) Yes, we found out we are having a girl!!!! We are sooooo excited about that. :) She is growing well, a little ahead of schedule - and she has long legs and big feet (so says the ultrasound technician). She is gonna be just like her daddy (though I hope she won't have size 14 feet like he does!).

We are having a good Christmas/New Year's break - off of school and work and everything. It is so nice to have David around all the time; we are having so much fun just hanging out and relaxing, getting ready for a new year and what lies ahead. It is exciting to see what God has in store for the three of us and exciting to take each day one at a time. It's a good time of year to be reminded to "be still and know that He is God." Our times are in His hands, and He works all things for His glory and for our good. Praise Him for His faithful love to us - over and above anything we could ever deserve! He is so good!

May each of you be reminded to focus on God and on His love for you - and be reminded what an awesome God we serve, indeed! Happy New Year!

Christmas Tree Pics

Here's a picture of the tree today... with the ornaments and some wrapped presents ready for family members on Christmas. :)

Christmas Tree Pics

Here's a picture of our tree the night we put it up.

Catching Up

So here we are... enjoying the beautiful day, a nice restful day. A few snowflakes blew here and there this morning, but never stuck (since we're so close to the river, and lower in altitude?). Other parts of town got a little bit, too.

Today, I've been kinda busy. I've almost finished our laundry (that's an accomplishment these days!), I've cleaned the living room (you can see the coffee table top now!!!), I've wrapped the gifts we have purchased so far for our family (they look good under the tree), and I've started signing Christmas cards and addressing envelopes (have to wait to mail until David signs his John Hancock). The day is only halfway through, but it sure feels good to be home and doing things around the house that need to get caught up on.

I am now 18 weeks along in my pregnancy, and still dealing here and there with moments of morning sickness. Thankfully, I haven't got it too bad, and when it hits, it's pretty manageable. The baby is not quite 6" long, and weighs 5.25 ounces - 1 1/2 times as much as last week. Any time now I should feel him/her start moving, little kicks and punches (I hear as they work out?). lol. I'm really excited to feel him/her for the first time! Counting down.......... (and sorry for the multiple him/her, he/she... I hate calling the baby an "it").

As soon as I figure out how to connect my laptop back to the Internet and/or save pictures to David's computer, I will post some pictures from Thanksgiving and of our Christmas tree. We put up the ornaments last night, and now it looks really pretty.

I'll post some more later... keep checking back! :)

Thanksgiving Weekend

David and I had a good Thanksgiving weekend - not nearly long enough, though! :) We had Thanksgiving dinner on Sunday (the 23rd) with my family at my sister's house and that was really fun!!! Getting to see everyone, and our 5 month old niece rolling over on the floor! On Thursday (Thanksgiving day), David and I drove down to Las Cruces to pick up his sister and niece, and we were back in Albuquerque in time for lunch at his mom's house. Yes, it was a long drive! :) But well worth it. Then we spent the weekend with family and friends, and tried to squeeze in some much-needed rest. Again, I think that's a myth! LOL. I can't believe it's already December - and time for the last couple weeks of the school semester and finals. The new year will be here before you know it! :)

My Speech

I have another speech today in my public speaking class. I am trying to persuade my listeners to slow down on the road and not be aggressive drivers. I made two posters this morning to take with me and use in my speech... one is the aggressive behaviors (on red paper - to stop!), and the other is what to do to avoid being aggressive (on green paper - what to do!).

New to Blogspot

So I'm new to blogspot.com, but I've had a xanga.com account for about two months now. It seems to me more people have blogspot, so I thought I'd try it out.
